Quick and Easy Diamond Scarf

Another quick and easy pattern I created.  This one is great to use up a skein of bulky/super bulky yarn, like Lion Brand Homespun.

Enjoy!

Quick and Easy Diamond Scarf
by Tamara McShea

This is a great project to take along for knitting on the go, and is a great way to use up a skein of any bulky yarn like Lion Brand Homespun.
Size 10 knitting needles
1 Skein Bulky weight yarn (Lion Brand Homespun, for example)
Stitch explanation:  M1 – pick up the horizontal bar between stitches with the left needle, then knit to add one stitch.

Cast on 4 stitches
Diamond Pattern:
1: Knit 1, M1, knit to end of row
2: Repeat step 1 until there are 22 stitches in the row
3: Knit 1, K2tog, knit to end of row
4: Repeat step 3 until there are 4 stitches in the row
Repeat steps 1-4 for the desired amount of diamonds, then bind off the remaining 4 stitches and weave in ends.  End with an odd number of diamonds if possible, so that one hangs at the back of the neck when the scarf is worn.
